Цели и задачи конкурса Цель: - популяризация изучения английского языка среди учащихся 7-8 классов; - формирование у учащихся правильной картины мира через сохранение интереса к творческой деятельности. Задачи: - формирование у детей школьного возраста интереса к изучению английского языка; - выявление талантливых детей и создание условий для их самореализации; - развитие исполнительской культуры и навыков публичных выступлений учащихся; - популяризация искусства художественного чтения. Оснащение: - мультимедийное оснащение; - музыкальное сопровождение. Xод мероприятия Teacher: - Good afternoon, boys and girls! I am glad to see you again. Welcome to our contest “English rhymes”. Today you will recite English poems and we find out who can do it very well. First of all, I would like you to introduce yourselves (учащиеся представляются). Now let me introduce the jury of the contest (представление педагогов). Teacher: - Children, are you ready to start? I wish you good luck! So let’s do the first task. You know that the most important thing in a poem is a rhyme. Take the cards. You can see two columns of words. At our contest you will be able to see some famous poets of the past and of the present. Do you know the famous poets of Great Britain or the USA? Look at the screen and try to guess who is who. (На экране портреты Уильяма Шекспира, Роберта Бернса, Джека Лондона, Чарльза Диккенса, Марка Твена, Джонатана Свифта, Рэдьярда Киплинга, Льюиса Кэррола, Оскара Уальда, Эрнестf Хемингуэя). (учащиеся выполняют задание). Teacher: - They say that these poems appeared on the British Isles in 1896. According to the legend the similar songs were sung by Irish soldiers in the town called Limerick. So these poems were called limericks too. They were very funny and even fantastic. Now read the limericks with expression. (лимерики разрезаны на части, учащиеся восстанавливают его в правильном порядке и читают выразительно).

It enriches us, gives much food for thoughts, brings wisdom in our lives, helps to understand the inner world of a man. So each of you should present a poem you have learnt by heart.
