Model Verb should/ shouldn’t

Exercise 1. Insert where you should shouldn’t.

Phrasal verb run.

Exercise 1. Fill in: after, out of, into.

Past Simple

Exercise 1. Uncover brackets using the Past Simple verbs.

Exercise 2. Translate the words in brackets into English.

Past Simple and used to.

Exercise 1. Form negative and interrogative sentences sentences with constructions "used to".

1. People used to make their own cheese and butter. (Бывало, люди готовили свой собственный сыр и масло.)
2. My sister used to wear jeans. (Когда-то моя сестра носила джинсы.)
3. Jill used to eat raw fish. (Бывало, Джилл ела сырую рыбу.)

Exercise 2. Open parenthesis. Use the used to construct.

1. Ann ____ (buy) white bread, but now she buys brown bread.

Relative Pronouns and adverbs.

Exercise 1. Write out those sentences in which relative pronouns can be omitted, but the meaning will remain the same.

1. She met a woman who works on TV. (Она встретила женщину, которая работает на ТВ.)
2. The thing that I like about Nick is his punctuality. (Что мне нравится в Нике – это его пунктуальность.)
